BioLogical Science Illustration Portfolio

A first love for me is the illustrating natural world, and the creatures that inhabit it. I enjoy the research involved in developing biological science and natural history images, and go directly to the living source when possible. When not possible, I seek out experts for input and consultation. I enjoy creating dynamic views of mammals, fish, and reptiles that display the most interesting aspects of the subjects, and strive to impart a bit of the respect I feel for our fellow earthlings. Much of my bio-scientific work has been for large science and natural history museums, with a focus on illustrating wildlife.

My biological science & natural history clients include the Smithsonian Institution (the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex), the Monterey Bay Aquarium, plus scientific publications such as the Journal of Neuroscience, and others.
